Day 01: Sightseeing of Addis Ababa

Arrival at Bole International Airport. Splendid  reception by your guide and Transfer to hotel for check-in after short break you will have City tour of Addis Ababa and visiting key attractions of the city like National Museum, Holy Trinity Cathedral, Entoto Historical Museum, Mercato Market, and Ethnological Museum.

Day 02: Addis Ababa-Axum

Fly Axum and Full day visit historic sites of Axum, it was once the capital of the Ethiopian kings, the oldest ancient civilization covered a wide area in the Tigrai plateau. Some of the archaeological sites can give you an idea of the former high standard of civilization and a series of inscription on stone tablets have proved to be immense importance to the historian of the ancient world. . Visit the famous steles, the bath  of queen of Sheba,  see the churches of St. Mary of Zion which contain the crowns of Ethiopian kings and other treasures and the tomb of king Kaleb. Day 03: Axum-Lalibela

Right after check-in,Start visiting the northern cluster rock hewn churches of Lalibela hewn out from a single rock and the first group of churches which comprises six churches namely  Bet Medhane Alem, Bet Maryam, Bet Meskel, Bet Danaghel, Bet Mikael and Bet Golgotha. Overnight stay in Lalibela

Day 04: Lalibela

In the morning, visit the Southeastern Cluster of churches – Bet Gabriel-Rufael, Bet Merkorios, Bet Amanual, and Bet Abba Libanos. Finally, visit the most famous of all the churches – Bet Giyorgis, a huge monolith in the shape of a cross, and constructed in honor of St. George, the patron saint of Ethiopia. After lunch, take an afternoon trip to visit the church of Nakutolab which is 7km away from the city. (you will have additional trekking options) Overnight in Lalibela

Day 05: Lalibela-Gondar

After breakfast, Fly to Gondar and explore the royal enclosure with six lofty castles built by different emperors for different purpose. After lunch, proceed to visit Debre Birhan selassiee well known for its elaborately decorated wall paintings and visit the swimming pool of Emperor Fasiledes. Overnight stay in Gonder

Day 06: Excursion to Simien Mountains National Park

Early in the morning depart for the stunning Simien Mountains National Park located at 120km from Gonder. The Semen mountain national park is registered a UNESCO world heritage site in 1979 and the highest mountain in Ethiopia Ras Dashen is also found in the semen national park. The park offers a variety of outstanding views from different directions and it’s a home of the most rarely seen animals like Walia  Ibex, Menelik Bushbuk, Red fox and Gelada baboon.  You will have additional trekking options on request. Overnight stay in Gondar.

Day 07: Gondar to Bahir Dar-Lake Tana

After breakfast, start driving to Bahirdar admiring the beautiful chain of mountains and variety of rock formation, valleys, gorges and agricultural activities.  After check-in, you will have a short drive to the spectacular waterfalls known as Blue-Nile. Overnight stay in Bahir Dar

Day 08: Lake Tana monasteries and Blue Nile Fall

After breakfast, you will take a boat cruise over  lake Tana to visit the most ancient and marvelous Ethiopian orthodox churches with variety species of aquatic birds and fish.  In the late afternoon, you will visit the summer residence palaces of Emperor Hailesease known As Bezawit hil, where you can enjoy the panoramic views of the city. Day 09: Bahir Dar-Debre Markos

After early breakfast, start driving to DebreMarkos and on the way, you will visit the most beautiful crater lakes known as Zengena on the way to Addis, and its considered to be the second deepest lake in Ethiopia next to Abiata-Shala. After lunch, continue drive to Debre-Markos with beautiful countryside scenery. Over Night in Debre Markos.

Day 10: Debre Markos- Addis Abeba

After breakfast, Countinue driving about 300km to Addis Abeba, on the way you will enjoy the spectacular views of Blue-Nile bridge and gorge with a stunning grand canyon. After lunch, stop in Debre-Libanos to visit one of the most ancient Ethiopian orthodox churches built by an Ethiopian saint Tekle-Haymanot in the 13th century and the 17th century Portuguese bridge with an outstanding view.
